Today weโ€™d like to introduce you to Ryan Dills.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ryan. So, letโ€™s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The Georgia Hemp Company and Sympleaf Wellness were born out of nearly eight decades of life experienced by its two owners, Joe Salome and Ryan Dills. Our social and business networks have become quite extensive due to varied paths that overlapped with the right factors present in October 2017 for these entities to take shape. We are self-funded and worked diligently day by day to arrive at where the business currently stands. We take pride in that journey, but know weโ€™ve much more to accomplish within this industry. We met when we were 12 and have stayed connected ever since. As the industryโ€™s volatility continues to capsize the boats of many, weโ€™ve weathered enough to proceed with adequate levels of flexibility, resourcefulness, leverage, and authentic intent.

Great, so letโ€™s dig a little deeper into the story โ€“ has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges youโ€™ve had to overcome?
The hemp industry has many additional challenges THAT the average small business doesnโ€™t have to navigate. These include the inability to operate smoothly with traditional banks and payment processors, the inability to market through common portals, limited/unclear regulations, and continued industry volatility as those factors evolve. Plus, there are many in the industry unfamiliar with the actual industry and those out to make a quick buck regardless of quality- and these only add to the many misconceptions that already exist.

Please tell us about The Georgia Hemp Company.
The Georgia Hemp Company is dedicated to delivering high-quality hemp products and advocating for the growing awareness of hemp and CBD education. Every product we sell โ€“ foods, beverages, wellness products, apparel, and more โ€“ has been carefully vetted by our team for accuracy and quality. If it doesnโ€™t meet The Georgia Hemp Companyโ€™s standard of excellence, then we wonโ€™t sell it. Thatโ€™s our commitment to you. I am proud of what weโ€™ve done so far for many reasons, with a top one being self-funded. What sets us apart includes product quality, product variety, customer service, team member expertise, and a focus on education.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
One of my favorite memories from childhood would be nights out at pizza hut and the bowling alley. These werenโ€™t overly common, but when theyโ€™d come around, the world seemed perfect. I love numbers and enjoyed keeping the score as this was before the screens kept the score for you. Plus this was a very small town in north Georgia called Blue Ridge. Itโ€™d be my mom and my two sisters, and on occasion, some cousins, and/or aunts & uncles, and everyone seemed happy and present, with no cell phones around to distract. Plus, it was typically Fridays, thus no school the next day.
