Time to Take Action: HIFA’s 90-Day Federal Plan to Save Hemp

Across the country, small business owners, farmers, veterans, and wellness communities are reeling after Congress tucked a devastating anti-hemp provision into the recent government funding bill. This quiet maneuver threatens to dismantle an entire industry built legally and responsibly under the 2018 Farm Bill—an industry that supports over 325,000 American jobs and generates between $30–70 billion annually.

But there’s still time to fight back.

Join the Movement: HIFA’s 90-Day Federal Action Plan to Save Hemp

The Hemp Industry & Farmers of America (HIFA) is launching a bold 90-day campaign to delay the federal hemp THC ban and give Congress the breathing room needed to develop a real solution.

We’re urging lawmakers to pass an 18-month extension on top of the current one-year sunset clause. This gives all of us—consumers, retailers, and legislators—the time to protect what we’ve built and advocate for a regulated, not prohibited, hemp future.

“Across the country, farmers, small businesses, and families are facing devastation after Congress quietly advanced a hidden anti-hemp provision. This isn’t just bad policy—it’s reckless.”
