If this language remains, it would:

- Push consumers toward unregulated, foreign-made alternatives

President Trump Supported Hemp Then. He Can Defend It Now.
President Trump didn’t just legalize hemp—he promoted it. In September 2025, he even reposted a video on Truth Social highlighting CBD’s role in helping seniors manage pain, reduce stress, and improve sleep, with the potential to cut $64 billion annually in healthcare costs.
Now, the very products the Trump Administration helped bring to market are under attack.
These backdoor efforts are an assault on the President’s legacy, on American entrepreneurship, and on the millions of voters who depend on these products every day for wellness, relief, and peace of mind.
We Need Action. And We Need It Now.
The hemp industry has already stepped up with responsible safety solutions:
- Age-gating products to 21+
- Mandating third-party testing for purity and potency
- Enforcing clear labeling standards
- Requiring child-resistant packaging
Congress had a chance to embrace these solutions. Instead, they chose a blanket ban.
